This wedding was perfect. It was country western with a sense of class and elegance. Cassi did an amazing job planning all the details. From shooting shot gun shells for the boutineer to hunting for pheasants for the center pieces and more, it was amazing. Cassi and Mike are so stunning together. Their love radiates and they are seriously all about a fun, adventurous life together.
Their engagement photos were taken in Logan Canyon and it happened to rain on us. We did her bridals in the same location and they were beautiful! Their wedding day could not have been more perfect weather.
Some fun points from their wedding that I loved and enjoyed:
- The cake smash – I totally missed it because it went so fast and was unexpected. Seriously a bummer. I’m hoping my second shooter got a few photos but I haven’t seen all of her photo yet! Their cake had been leaning and we got some pictures before the ceremony started. During the reception we walked back in from taking photos and it had tipped over. 🙁 Mike and Cassi’s dad were trying to clean it up and keep it from tipping more and Cassi ran up and grabbed a piece and shoved it in Mike’s face. She started running around and he was chasing her. She ran outside so he grabbed a plate and tossed it at her. It was full of cake. He hit her shoulder and entire back/side of her. Totally cute but messy. They did an official cake cutting after that and were both nice!
- The details. Cassi had pictures of her grandma’s in her bouquet, all the cowboy boots, the flowers, center pieces, the rings.
- The photo booth was a total hit.
- The Barn at Lindon was the perfect setting.
