I have been doing photography for about 8 years now. It’s crazy to think that time has flown by so fast. I’ve loved being a photographer. Sometimes I can’t believe how far I’ve come though. It’s been quite the wild ride and I love my job as a photographer! It’s always fun to look back and remember where I started and see where I am now. Plus, It’s November so it’s always nice to share what I’m sincerely thankful for! Then and Now Stacey Hansen Photography

I started out taking photos of friends and families. I started out with mostly referrals from my own family and friends. I loved it. Shortly after I started my sister and Andy’s sister were both pregnant. I decided to try out newborns at that time. I didn’t quite know what I was doing but we worked it out and I think we got some good shots. I look back now and I question my editing style from when I first started. I have learned SOO much and grown so much. I started out using a DSLR camera on Auto and little by little I taught myself how to use manual. I worked hard and it took time but I feel I can now do anything with my camera.

Posing is a whole other story. That takes time and practice and so so much patience. My collection of props, backdrops, stuffing, headbands, clothes, wraps and supplies has taken years and years of purchases to get where I am now.

A now and then comparison is in order. Here’s a fun look at where I started and where I now. Most of my success has come from hard work, dedication, my amazing support group and my clients coming back time and time again.

We have a full list of props and backdrops that we can travel with or you can come to us and have access to them all! There is an additional travel charge for in home sessions. In Home Sessions are also limited on Qty of props/backdrops we bring. Book your studio session to take full advantage of the props and supplies we have!
