Today’s Tuesday Ten is about my families traditions for Easter. Your family might have some of the same or similar but whatever your traditions are – enjoy your family and the time spent together.
1. Make goodies. Kira has already been asking me if we can make these Easter Basket treats this year. We made them last year and she loved it. If you are interested, contact me for the recipe!
2. Easter Baskets. Yup, we do easter baskets at our house. Usually consists of an outfit, eggs with candy or money in them, and some kind of toy.
3. Easter Dresses. This is a little throw back. As a kid, we used to get an Easter Dress every year. It was good times and just look how cute we were!
4. Being with my love. I love holidays for many reasons but one that sticks out in my mind is I get to spend time with my other half and love, Andy. As well as family. It’s a great time to catch up, relax and just enjoy the small details in life that often go by too quickly.
5. Play Outside. We love being outside. Playing together outside in the beautiful weather is a must! Mini Golf, racketball, volley ball, soccer, watching the kids ride bikes or the 4 wheeler. We just love it. We are hoping for warm weather this weekend!
6. Easter Egg Hunt. We usually do two Easter Egg hunts, one with Andy’s family and one with mine. They are both different but very fun. The kids love it. Just look at the facial expression on Kade in the photo below. He was so upset Kira beat him to that egg. Oh the joys!
7. Coloring Easter Eggs. Some people hate this, but I love it. Being creative, letting kids get messy for once and just having fun! I also love making deviled eggs so it’s a bonus!
8. Easter Pictures. I can’t be the photographer I am if I don’t take Easter pictures every year. This year was a rough session and Kira didn’t want to take pictures but we still managed to get a few good ones of her toothless smile.
9. Baby Animal Days. We love baby animal days. Last year we went like 3 times. Andy and I bought a membership to the American West Heritage Center so we got in free with our membership each time. Kira loves it and I quite enjoy it too.
10. Easter Jeep Safari. Oh, living the life right? If Andy and I could manage to get away from work, life, photos, every year for Easter we’d be in Moab for the Easter Jeep Safari in a heart beat. We had so much fun the last 2 years down there. This year just is not in the cards for us. I have two weddings the weekend before Easter and one the weekend of Easter and Andy has been working a ton of overtime so we are putting off our next Moab trip for a few weeks. Moab is calling our names though!
