It’s been a few years since my in-laws have done family photos. The last family photo is now missing three of the grand kids so we decided to meet up and do photos. We decided to head to Tony Grove. One of my favorite places to photograph families and couples though it’s a little bit of a drive away. It’s beautiful this time of year and I love all the green! Plus, the lake is gorgeous!
We decided on Navy Blue, Grey, Maroon and Cream for our colors. A little fall touch but will look good as a year round photo hanging on the wall. I was surprised I had such a hard time finding any clothes for our little 5 week old baby that would work. Dang! Oh well we managed.
Being the photographer in the family, I’m a little OCD when it comes to my family. I had a hard lesson with this session and it was a little stressful for me. I’ve learned that kids will be kids and I need to just embrace the many faces we get during photos. It’s usually my job to capture the cute smiles and sometimes that just doesn’t happen. No matter the smile, smirk or face you get during photos, they are still important! I will look back and laugh at this session and all the many non smiles we got from our kids. I will also cherish the personalities that they have.
