1. The People
Andy and I have been so blessed over our relationship. We both have super supportive families, our friends, work and all those we’ve met along the way. Our wedding was an hour (or so) away from our home and we had a GREAT turn out. The People are what really made our day special. A huge thank you to all those who helped in any way or attended our wedding. The vendors we worked with were all amazing. We had only two hiccups during the entire day and they worked themselves out to some degree. The People behind helping us and supporting us are what makes up the bulk of my memories. You truly are a special part of our lives and helped make our wedding day fantastic!
2. Photographer
I had to put the photographer on here toward the top of the list because nearly all the photos in this post are compliments of him. Mike from Endless Photography was awesome to work with. He met all our requests and exceeded our expectations! From meeting us early early morning to staying after the cake and toast, editing in just over a week, capturing moments I missed, and memories /details I love… He was worth every dollar. I love our photos and I highly recommend Mike. Super nice guy and totally down to earth.
3. Hair and Make Up
I had Alisa Christensen at Silver Clippers put extensions in my hair {which I loved, and she was FABULOUS}. Going from super thin sorta short hair to full long extensions was a bit of a shock. BUT totally worth it. I had a few ideas of how to do my hair for the wedding and with my natural hair I couldn’t do it. Extensions totally made that possible and Alisa was amazing to work with.
I hired Jade from BeYoutiful by Jade to come up and do my make up and hair. She came up to the cabin on Friday night and stayed over since we were getting up at 5 am. Yes I said 5 AM. My make up was wonderful and my hair turned out awesome. Jade is so bubbly, nice and is amazing at what she does.
The flowers in Kira and my hair are from an Etsy shop called Fairy Tale Flower ! She was wonderful to work with. Check her out.
4. The Cake
For our wedding I wanted a simple and small naked cake. Our good friend Holly owns Wright Designs and she made our beautiful cake. It was perfect and tasted GREAT, though most of it ended up on my face rather than in my mouth.
The cake topper was from an Etsy shop called Better Off Wed, which I loved. It was expensive but fit us to a T so it was worth it. I borrowed the cake stand from my sister and painted it silver for our wedding. It all came together perfectly.
5. The Location
We choose Bear Lake for our Backdrop and it was perfect. We couldn’t have timed the ceremony better as it was perfectly shaded with a picturesque backdrop of the lake. It was a beautiful day. The cabin was amazing and worked perfectly for our small wedding.
6. The Sun Glasses
So a few months before the wedding my mom and I got this idea to get sun glasses. We weren’t sure if it was going to be sunny or if the sun would be down but I ordered them anyways. SO GLAD I DID. This was seriously one of the most fun things about our wedding. People loved it and so did we.
7. The Signs
I ordered these side walk signs to have for the wedding. I hired Ashley from SheShe Design to do the writing. They turned out awesome. Her work is amazing.
8. Flowers
The beautiful flowers are from Elise at i fiori The colors were perfect. I purchased the center piece vases and she did an amazing job at filling them with beautiful arrangements.
9. The Photo Booth
We used The Time Capsule Photo Booth as part of our guest booth signing process. I had a blast hanging out by the photo booth and photo bombing people. It was awesome and funny!
10. The Ceremony
So many details about the ceremony I love. I could have done an entire post on the ceremony alone, but I wont 🙂 Here are some details.
- The Officiant and Script were perfect. Our boss and friend, Robert James, married us. The script was personal, witty and fun, yet sentimental and perfect.
- The setting. The sun had just went behind the cabin at about 4:45 pm and we got married at 5. It was the ideal conditions for us and our guests
- The view. Not only did our guests get to see us but this amazing and beautiful scene as mentioned above.
- The music. Though we didn’t have a DJ for the wedding because of complications my brother in law and Andy’s best friend came to the rescue. We had no mic because of the issues so I hope everyone could hear somewhat but it ended up working fine.
- Our entrances. Andy did a little cat walk move when he got to the “alter” and the stairs that I walked down were beautiful. Kira and Max were fabulous!
- The sun glasses {yes again}. I love our pictures and how almost everyone in the background has the white and orange sunglasses on!
- Family – For those that helped plan, set up, take down and everything in between. I appreciate them oh so much!
- The toast was given by Andy’s best friend Klay. It was short but perfect. Followed by an open mic for those that wanted to say anything. We loved hearing your words!
- The Bar Tender was awesome. We work with Josh and he was killer and keeping drinking coming and people happy
PS – My Dress had pockets! ha ha I LOVED IT.
