Back in October, I had the opportunity to go to Nashville for work so me and Tayshia decided to head out a few days early and take advantage of some tourist stuff. Nashville wasn’t really a city on my bucket list but man it should have been! It was an AMAZING city and I definitely want to go back! It was so epic! Girls Trip to Nashville Tennessee
We did so many fun things. Tayshia and I only knew each other briefly. I’d done newborn photos for her and some extended family photos before she was hired in our office as the Sales Assistant. We were heading to Nashville for a tradeshow and had talked about doing a couples trip before the show. That failed but we went out early just the two of us. I had such an amazing time and Tayshia is now one of my besties. She is a super fun and amazing lady and I will forever remember Nashville and Dolly Parton 🙂
Here’s a list of things we did, in no order:
- Dolly Parton live show at the Grand Ole Opry – Her 50th celebration at the Opry . SO EPIC! And the last minute ticket purchase is a story and memory I will never forget! Crazy driving back from the Great Smoky Mountains and watching the ticket prices fall just hours before the show. It was a thrill and so much fun.
- Great Smokey Mountains, hiking in sandals, bumper to bumper traffic. It was beautiful and colorful at times.
- Steak and Shake fries and Shakes
- Shopping at the mall
- Buying lottery tickets at every gas station we went to. I won over $200 that trip. It was so much fun.
- Touring the Grand Ole Opry during the day. So neat and cool to see back stage
- Walking across the nashville people’s bridge – Then getting rained on (totally drenched) on the way back to the hotel
- Walking down Broadway and stopping at some of the bars / honkey tonks. Tayshia, Kyle and I ate dinner down there a couple times. We only had a few moments down there and I need to go back!
- We went to the Jonny Cash museum
- Jack Daniels Whiskey Tour
- The tradeshow was at the Nashville Music City Center and was neat
- We rode the bus and met some neat people
- Shopping at the mall again. Tayshia was very good at talking me into buying clothes I didn’t need but wanted. Ha ha!
- Wearing our Dolly Parton shirts together was so much fun!
- I love these girl memories with a friend I didn’t know I had and now that I need.
