Ok, seriously. Why didn’t I think of a cake smash session when I turned 30? At least I can be like Jenny and do a 40 Year Cake Smash. I loved this session and Jenny seriously rocked it. Pink, Gold, and Princess – the perfect Birthday combination for an epic party!
Jenny and I have been planning this session for a over a month, since I posted the 30 year Cake Smash I did in December with Brook. I LOVE that these ladies have the confidence and courage to do a photo session like this. I’m not sure I would be able to sit in front of the camera and dig into take like they did, so huge shout out to Jenny for doing this.
As I got to know Jenny better in planning the session and then the day of I learned a few things. She is a total tom boy. I thought it was super neat she wanted to do something different and girly since this was totally out of her comfort zone. The princess and pinks just worked great! I love her FORTY shirt! She said she had a local lady print it for her.
I am dying over her shoes, though. Those glittery heels are ah-mazing. I am not sure where I’d wear them to but I love them! And her tennis shoes with the pink laces were perfect component for that little tom boy touch during her session.
That smile and laugh are so sincere. Happy Birthday Jenny! Make your 40th the best!
