It’s Summer Time! We were super excited about summer and all the opportunities to play and be outside that we decided to write up a Summer Bucket List. Kira’s Bucket List is somewhat basic but works great for a 5 year old. Mine is complicated! I am not sure how I’ll do everything on it but I’m going to make the most of it and have fun trying!.
1. Print your Summer Bucket Lists off of Pinterest for FREE! or create your own!
2. Be CREATIVE! Write something on your list you aren’t actually sure if you are going to do, then you’ll be challenged to go above and beyond your normal and check it off! My lists have some easy items and some actually hard ones! Kira wanted to write go to Hawaii, BUT I talked her into just going to the beach instead.
3. Write something you can do as a family. Kira loves writing with chalk so we sat down and played together all three of us. Anytime you can help your kids enjoy an activity the more successful you are, in my opinion.
4. MAKE SOMETHING! My list has a LOT of items to make. We decided to start out with some ROCK CANDY. It wasn’t easy and took a lot of patience but it was neat. I learned a lot and will be a pro next time we make them, if there is a next time.
5. Splash Pad. Did you know there are at least 3 splash pads in the valley! We are super lucky to live bout 2 blocks from one in Hyrum and we love it. Take advantage of some of the parks that are available to you!
6. Share your Bucket List with others! We did our bucket list with my sisters and we all wrote some of the same stuff down so we can try to do them together. We want the kids to be able to enjoy nature, have fun, be active and do things together!
7. Water! Get in the water, that’s what summer is all about right? or at least for our family. Our Summer Bucket list includes boating, swimming, tubing, sprinklers, the beach and more! Get out and enjoy your lakes, parks, or have a swimming party in your very own backyard!
8. Be spontaneous. Andy and I live for adventure, random evenings weekends or trips and just being on the go. That’s why we work well together. Put some things on your bucket list you can do in a whim. I have a fun date night, drive to bear lake, etc.
9. Enjoy each other’s company and just be happy.
10. Do it all again next year! Well, maybe make a new list with new adventures. 🙂
Happy summer all.
