This little man turned one year old on New Years Day! This is seriously such a fun age to photograph. Most kids are just care free, smiles, giggles and love their cake. One year is a perfect milestone to capture and I’m so happy to have done just that for the Thompson Family.
Mom contacted me a few weeks ago to plan his session. She wanted Navy, Grey and White. I love the all boy look of those colors! I had a friend make the banners for me and think they turned out amazing. My seriously epic cake lady, Whitney Goodin, nailed a simple yet perfect cake for us! As always, her cakes are amazing! If you need a cake, I highly recommend her. She nails it every single time for us!
We started out their session with some cute poses to mark his one year age. He was so funny and smiled great. His little giggle is perfect. Next up was a little baseball sweatshirt and some more photos. I always love capturing some non cake photos for parents at one year. Cake is fun but it’s the non cake photos that they hang up in their homes.
Last but not least, the cake smash. It did really well. I always tell parents not to expect too much. Kids either love the cake or hate it and everything inbetween. Little M was great. He didn’t quite dig in like we thought but he still ate, and ate, and ate. He loved getting his toes covered in frosting. ha ha
