2016 Recap | Stacey Hansen Photography

This past year has been epic. Here’s our 2016 Recap. And yes, 2016 is definitely one for the books. We have done MORE of nearly everything, including newborn sessions and first year packages.  Its been busy, stressful, full of joy & laughter, and  has kept me on my toes more than any other year.

Business has been booming as you’ll read below. We’ve also had a great year at the Hansen Family. Kira is 7 and doing so well in school. Andy and I are so thankful to be happy, healthy and together!

Stacey Hansen Photography has been going strong for 5+ years. I am amazed at how much we grow. Every. Single. Year. It’s aways fun as a business owner to recap the entire year and see what progress and change has been made. At the end of the year when I’m summarizing and looking through my books and creating charts I always think “Wow, I did all of that this year” or “I can’t believe those are my numbers!”. I Love charts and data collection. It’s probably why I excel at my full time job at Hycomp.  When I get the chance to do that for myself and this business I’m all about it. I love the data it shows me and the surprises I get from actually seeing the info compiled together. The 2016 recap is one of those ‘wow’ moments.

Newborn 2016 Recap

2015 had 25 newborns and 2014 had 23. My goal this year was to grow my newborn clientele and First Year packages. 56 newborns is a huge increase over last year!  I also wanted to create a better client experience for my newborn clientele. I can honestly say I am proud of my accomplishment and so thrilled at the results. Seriously. I did add a little puppy in my recap photo since we called her session a Puppy newborn. However, I am blown away by the number of little babies I got to hold, and I’m SO THANKFUL. Those families are each unique and I’m blessed to have been chosen to capture their newborn photos.

In this journey of life, those little newborns make my days so much brighter! I love to hear the stories from each mom on how they conceived, about their delivery, how they choose the names, what their pregnancy was like. Each mom’s story is unique, just like every tiny baby is unique. I love to capture those special memories for mom, dad and their siblings. Those first 2 weeks or month are days and memories that seem to fly right by, faster than you can imagine. 52 hearts full of love and sharing their families with me. Thank you to all my newborn clients in 2016!

Each year we focus on giving back to one of our newborn clients. We do a Facebook contest and encourage our newborn clients and their families to vote for their favoirte photo. We give the winner a FREE CAKE SMASH session for their 1 year birthday! That starts today! Stay tuned, we are so excited for this. We’ve had so much fun with this every holiday season.

Wedding 2016 Recap

We have LOVED capturing the weddings of our clients and their love stories. Each couple has a unique experience, love story and life. I love being able to capture those memories. My brides are seriously some of the most amazing people. Ever. I have loved being at their wedding day and capturing the details. Not every wedding went as planned. And I am definitely not perfect as a photographer and have made my fair share of mistakes but I think it’s made me a better person and a better photographer. Thank you to all my brides and grooms this year!

Photo Booth 2016 Recap

We’ve hit some major milestones with The Time Capsule Photo Booth this year. We were super busy for a few months and steady all year long. I love that we have perfected the booth, the set up, take down, and it will nearly run it’s self. We hired my niece to run it for us and she does a great job! We’ve been super blessed to have this photo booth. What started as a edition to our wedding last year and turned into an amazing blessing and business venture for Andy and I.

As we said, Another year in the books. We are so thankful for all our clients, family and friends. A 2016 Recap points out so many things about this business we love and so many people we are thankful for. Stacey Hansen Photography has the best support network we could have ever hoped for! Thank you to all of you that are reading this, following our story, supporting our business.

And I can’t say it enough… I owe so much of my success to my husband. He is seriously my biggest supporter and contributes so much to this business behind the scenes! Jessica Ward, our blogger, has also been a huge help this year! She’s stepped in and wrote some amazing stories for our photos. We are thrilled to have her as part of our team.

Happy Holidays.
