Remembering Brent
Grandpa Hansen Funeral 2026 | Logan Utah Air Force Vetran
This is a post I never imagined I would write.
In July, we said goodbye to my father-in-law, Brent Hansen. Dementia shaped his final years. However, we find comfort knowing he is now free from the confusion and pain it brought.
Even so, saying goodbye to someone who has been part of your family for so long leaves an ache that words cannot fully explain.
Brent was quiet, funny, and welcoming. He loved cars, jeeping, fishing, and family adventures. He also served in the Air Force during Vietnam. Therefore, it meant so much to see his service honored as we gathered to remember him.
Most of all, I am grateful for the son he raised. Being married to Andy is one of the greatest blessings of my life. I will always appreciate the family Brent welcomed me into.
During the viewing and funeral, our family shared stories and laughter through tears. We held each other close. We also celebrated the things Brent loved most.
His service, cars, tools, trophies, and family memories filled the day with reminders of his life. Each one told a small piece of his story.
As a photographer, I understand the value of photographs. They become even more precious when they help us hold on to the people we love. These images document more than a difficult day. They show the love that surrounded Brent and the people who came to honor him.
We love you, Brent. We will miss you. Above all, we will always be grateful for the memories you left with us.
