Not every newborn session needs to be posed to be beautiful—and this session is the perfect example of that. As a Utah newborn photographer, I love when families choose a more natural, lifestyle approach that focuses on connection, emotion, and those real-life moments.
Mom and dad wanted something simple and relaxed, so we planned a lifestyle newborn session in the studio. Keeping everything clean and minimal really allows the focus to stay exactly where it should be—on their sweet baby and the love they share as a new family.
One thing that made this session extra unique is that baby was about a month old. And honestly? He did so good. Even at that slightly older newborn stage, he was calm, content, and gave us the sweetest sleepy moments mixed with some bright-eyed connection.
I always tell parents that lifestyle sessions are perfect if you’re wanting:
- Less posing and more natural interaction
- A relaxed, baby-led flow
- Images that feel timeless and real
These photos turned out exactly that way—simple, clean, and full of genuine moments. The soft neutral tones, cozy couch setup, and natural interactions between mom, dad, and baby made this session feel so effortless.

About Our Studio Newborn Sessions
Studio newborn sessions are some of our absolute favorites at Stacey Hansen Photography! As a Cache Valley newborn photographer, we love working with families to capture those first sweet days.
Our studio, located in Logan, Utah, (Technically in River Heights, Utah) is calm, cozy, and perfect for newborn photography. It’s fully equipped with controlled lighting, beautiful props, clean backdrops, and a warm, soothing atmosphere. Because we manage every detail, we’re able to create timeless images with soft tones and beautiful setups.
Additionally, working with an experienced Utah newborn photographer means your session is always personalized. You’ll have access to a wide variety of props, wraps, backdrops, and curated setups. While many clients come to our Logan Utah studio, we also offer in-home lifestyle sessions. However, in-home sessions include a travel fee and fewer props—but they provide a relaxed, natural feel. If you prefer the full prop selection, studio sessions are the way to go.
