Here’s our tips on what to expect during your cake smash session!

Some kids rock their cake smash session. Hand fulls of cake or frosting and chow down! They may lean over the lick the cake! We’ve even had kids pick the cake up and try to eat right off of it!
Your child may or may not like the cake. We’ve seen everything, including children that hate the cake. Yes, that’s rare but it has happened. Most kids just aren’t fans of getting sticky so we try to keep hands clean if that’s the case. We also give them a break and then try again.
Some kids need some approval from their parents before they feel comfortable digging in. We have parents help out when they are more reserved. Mom or Dad will help by eating the cake, helping their child, licking the cake, etc. The more you show your child it’s ok and you can do it then the more they will be comfortable with digging in as well.
There might be a mess! Some cake smash sessions are just messy! Others are nearly clean as can be. We will help clean up no matter what the mess is… From the floor to your child! There’s a bathroom next to our studio and we’ve had clients give their child a bath in the sink or tub if needed or just wipe down with a towel.
Plan on taking whatever is left of the cake home!

In Studio First Year Packages are the best but we love outdoor sessions too!! Much as we try to use the studio, outdoor sessions can be super awesome as well! Watch your little one grow during their first year and let us help. Because this package is perfect for that! Sessions at 6, 9 and 12 months make for the best first year memories ever.
