I am in LOVE with this session. I’ve always wanted to do a fun military/flag themed session for newborns and I finally got my chance. I’ve known Tasha for years since her sister and I went to elementary, middle school and stayed friends through high school and beyond. Tasha contacted me to do her newborn session and we booked her session for the week after the 4th of July. She was due the week of and I was going to be out of town. When she contacted me 3 weeks early saying she had her little boy I was super stoked. This little guy is named Sawyer and he was born on Flag Day. His dad was in the Marines so we also got to include that into our session.
The night of their session Tasha and these two showed up and we got to work. They are actually living quite a ways away so I was super thankful they came to me for their session. Her little girl was to die for. She is ADORABLE and had the cutest expressions! Once we did some pictures of the two of them together she went upstairs to play with my little one while we finished up the newborn session with Sawyer. He didn’t sleep for any pictures with his sister and then when we started on his he was still wide awake. We hit the post with the flag and boots and it was a miracle – he was sound asleep! I was amazing. It was picture perfect and his daddy is going to LOVE it, or at least I’m hoping. He slept pretty good the rest of the session and we stuck to a blue and red theme.
